About Us
A Bit about Me
Starting Studio Template Co was by sheer coincidence. It was only 2 months before my wedding, when I was still scrambling to design and send my wedding invitations. I knew my colour scheme, dates and every detail, I knew I wanted the invitation to be unique where it folds up to look like an envelope, and when you open it up, it becomes the invitation within.
I wanted something very tailored, and so my sister kindly designed a beautiful card on Canva, which she describes as "an online graphics designer website for dummies". What she designed for me was absolutely beautiful. The only problem was me - I wanted the shade of pink a bit lighter, the font a bit bigger, the icons a bit more centered, and everythingg just slightly adjusted! As my little requests started to pile up, I realised these were things I could easily do myself, and so I learnt how to use Canva. It was like using Microsoft Powerpoint with minimal buttons but can do everything as you require!
Once I finalised the invitation design, I was pretty press for time. I had to find a print shop that would do express shipping, counted to make sure I printed enough invitations, as print shops don't usually print just a couple of invitations, made sure I didn't make the mistake of printing the back-page of my invitation up-side-down (as I knew of a friend who made that mistake!). I also had to make sure my place cards were error-free before I sent it to the print shop, as there was no time to reprint, if I had missed anyone or mispelt any names.
I wish I knew about templates at the time. The only wedding invitation templates I knew were those on the print-shops' websites at the time, where the features were limited, and the software was clunky.
Why I decided to create Studio Template Co.
That's why I decided to create Studio Template Co. As someone who appreciates the option to edit the little details, I've created templates on Canva to share it with brides and event planners who enjoy a bit of DIY and freedom to choose the details.
My templates are designed to be easy to use so that anyone can create something simple yet beautiful in no time, edit and export their design as a JPEG, PDF or GIF (Canva has a lot of cute animated clipart you can add), share via email or social media or print at home yourself. There's no need to be anxious about not ordering enough invitations or making an error in your order from the print shop, or experiencing Covid shipping delays, as the printing is all in your control.
Our Minimalist collection are designed to be black and white, where absolutely everything can be changed - from the colour, font, positioning, you name it. You can find a colour palette or colour pairing you like on Pinterest or Google images and apply the exact colours on Canva. Some of the colour schemes we recommend for a minimalist and elegant look include sage green, burnt orange, dusty pink, burgundy, navy, just to name a few!
Going Forward
We hope to bring you more stationery templates for other events like Baby Showers and Birthdays in the future, as well as add more collections with different florals, colours and themes to our product collection going forward.
Love, Bon x
